Introduction

 It's great to meet you all, and thanks for reading. My name's Daaiyah (DIE-ee-YAH), and I'm a practicing Freelance Digital Illustrator. I've been working on digital art for about Ten years and more now, hopefully to do Character work or something similar to it. My style consist of Semi-Realism to Realism (usually when i do portraits on paper). A Fun fact to what i enjoy drawing, is Horror (from Slashers, Body horror, eldritch, etc.), Monsters, and Male anatomy.  I join this course just for my associates degree in general, but would like to know more if this course would be useful in anyway to me or to peek any interest about journalism. I still don't know what to learn from journalism, but just look forward to learning anything that may be of help to me or better understanding to it. 

From what I look at on the internet, Journalism is always continuous through the earliest in time to keep everyone informed of the latest News. That being from your favorite Celebrities, Unfortunate events, Breaking news (Political, Society, etc.), Criminal acts, Journals regarding popular Video Games Reviews, or straight wholesome stories. It will always being important to everyone. Without it, how else will we know for an example, about the Covid-19 quarantine and if there are works on a vaccine?

Covering a Speech

  I've watched a TED talk by Megan Kamerick about "Women should represent women in media", and found some parts the were interesting. Firstly, I'd like to pick at the idea of Women representing Women instead of just Men representing them is probably a better way for when it comes to having a voice heard. Some men wouldn't want women being put in the mix of strong topics such as political views, or hard working jobs. Instead they prefer them as a material, or a low standard housewife. Which by my point, is vulgar, and down right discriminative.  One thing that stood out was the 11-year old girl story, and the way the article represented the 18 year old men were 'drawn' or 'seduced' from the victim. "These boys will have to live with this for the rest of their lives". The victim was only mentioned of the way she dressed and worn makeup in the Times article.
